We are hard at work writing an updated version of the book.

We are focusing on making the book easier to understand, updated to reflect the continual change of the Android scene and adding a significant number of new chapters covering things like the NDK, Bluetooth, Native Web Development/Hybrid Apps, and much more.

We welcome your constructive comments and feedback on the book -- thank you in advance for your help!

Re: Welcome to Unlocking Android, Second Edition
it will be really helpfull if you could add some topics that covers phone-to-phone communication

ex: like talking from one android device to another using internet, with some server in between & different compression technologies used while communication

Re: Welcome to Unlocking Android, Second Edition
Thanks for the suggestion, George. Let me think about how we might implement something like that. We're pretty far down the road with respect to the contents for this version, but we'll see.

Re: Welcome to Unlocking Android, Second Edition
Dear Android in Action, SE,

Please create hyperlinks in the pdf form of the book, so one can simply click on the Table of Contents entry and you go to the related chapter. You book is well done.

Thanks

Re: Welcome to Unlocking Android, Second Edition
My code download did not include any "readme.txt" files in any chapters. Is there an easy way to load all chapters into Eclipse?
