I'm having a heck of a time getting images to show up. The direct image name reference like this: < img src="icon.png" width="155" height="155" alt="You Save Care - Home Page"/> will find the image if I manually copy it into the root of the directory. If I use a name like "images/icon.png", I can't find the place where the application is looking for it.

I followed the general maven structure shown here:

Does anyone have some hints on how I can do this in Wicket 1.4.1 and maven 2.2?

Re: referencing images in maven project
I figured this out. It may not be the best way, but it works.
To store and retrieve images from web pages, have your images directory under “webapp”, this is at the same level as “WEB-INF”. I have seen other frameworks store the images directory under the “WEB-INF” directory. Then in referencing the images, here is what worked for me:
< img src="images/icon.png" style="border-style: none" alt="You Save Care - Home Page"/ >. For images referenced in css, the images had to be stored in the same directory as the css file itself and then referenced without any directory. Here is the structure:
...Web Pages | ---WEB-INF
| ---css
| ---images
| ---js
