I hoped the book will give a good comparison of different d-i implementations. But already at the first chapter, (page 18 of PDF), I get a bit disappointed: noncontainer is mentioned here, and it sounds like it's an active project.

Looking at the nanocontainer codehaus site, it hasn't been updated since 2007, points to Similar the mentioning of hivemeind and avalon. Both seem not really active.

I guess, the book will have some interesting parts, anyway.

But for paid documentation, I'd expect a better quality and up-to-dateness of the information presented.
Information that is partially outdated and not concise can be found on the web for free. At least, the book should tell: "hivemind, avalon and nanocontainer are not active anymore", something like that.
