From section 15.6.1 Registering a service in Windows, I can't find this on google search: _JAVA_LOADER_DEBUG. Where is this documented?

so do we just add a system envmt variable and set it to true, for example?

btw, I am using Sun JDK 5 and 6. Didn't see any output when I did "java foo" at windows cmd link after setting the envmt variable in system variables. I also set it manually in cmd line as follows: "set _JAVA_LOADER_DEBUG=1".

I get "hello world". No debug output in the cmd line with JDK 5 or JDK 6 for JAVA_HOME envmt variable... why?

foo.java:

public class TestJ {
public static void main(String[] args) {
System.out.println("hello world");
}
}

Re: _JAVA_LOADER_DEBUG
That was a typo. It should be __JAVA_LAUNCHER_DEBUG. I mention that in the latest errata, which unfortunately has not been placed on the book's web site yet.
