I just got the book (ebook, really) and was trying the groovysh shell, but it looks different than what's in the book - I'm using Groovy v 1.5.6 which I'm sure differs somewhat from the version that existed when the book was written. For example I don't have to enter 'go'. If I just enter a string it echo's the string. If I enter 'display' it says 'buffer is empty'.

So is there someplace I can get some info on the current version of groovysh?

Re: groovysh
Hi,

yes, the Groovy shell has improved much since version 1.0 and that is why you see a different behaviour.

The updated online documentation is under http://groovy.codehaus.org/Groovy+Shell .

thanks for posting
