I am curious if using European dates will throw people. At first I looked, and thought that it was more than 7 days, from 1.1.2008 to 8.1.2008, but others may not realize the difference, and get confused.

Just an observation.

Re: Using European dates in Listing 6.8
Perverse as the US system seems to me (going neither from smallest unit to biggest nor biggest to smallest, but somewhere in between) I suspect we do need to cater for US readers more than non-US ones. (It's not just Europeans that use this format - I believe it's almost everywhere apart from the US.)

It's just a matter of either me or Tomas setting our machine to think it's in the US and then rerunning that listing. (It's the output which is culturally sensitive, not the code of course.)
