Robert et. al.
I have the equivalent of a "Hello Word!" app written, and it seems to work just fine in hosted mode. However, nothing happens in web mode. There are no errors that I can see. What would be some of the simplest reasons for this happening? I can send the app WAR if you like.

P.S. I'm running it in GWT Designer within Eclipse 3.3.

Cheers,
Jason

Re: App Works in Hosted Mode But Not In Web Mode
Are you using GWT-RPC? The most common cause of problems are incorrect mappings in the web.xml. If you aren't using GWT-RPC, then maybe there is some JavaScript error (unlikely unless you are using JSNI).

In either case the easiest way to debug is to use the FireBug plug-in for Firefox. If you don't have it, then you should definitely get it. It will show you not only JS errors but also network requests as well, so you can use it to debug RPC issues.
