This is going to be another neophyte question, however, I'm not finding information on the tags used for regular expressions. I'm able to deduce what the tags in the examples are.

In 6.7.3 the example:
PS (6) > switch -regex ('abc') {^a {"a*: $_"} 'c$' {"*c: $_"}}
^ was discussed as an anchor in Chpt 4 and I've figured out that 'c$' means a string ending with a 'c' character. Where can I find a listing of these and other tags?

I ran into the same problem, never heard of Regex before PowerShell. It turned out to be a whole different animal, but a powerful one indeed.
