Hi Chris,



on p. 74 you say:


The façade or the presentation tier calls the domain model service to update the domain model and calls repositories to get the data that is displayed to the user. It is important to remember that the domain model is invoked via local calls, and so there is no overhead associated with multiple calls.




Can you explain what you mean by local? Do you mean local because it's between the façade and the service?

Local = it is happening within the same JVM.
i.e. not using a remoting protocol that has a relatively high overhead.
