I want to add column headings above the rows in a matrix report. ex.

Item Collection Intro Date
12345 Bob Henry 01/20/2006

When I preview the report all works fine, but when I deploy it this is the results. The text box above the rows does away with my spaces. I have tried adding multiply text boxes and in preview mode it's great.

Item Collection Intro Date
12345 Bob Henry 01/20/2006

Does anyone have any ideas on this issue.

Thanks,
Tim

Re: Adding Column headings to a matrix report.
For some reason when I posted this it did away with the spaces in the text area. There should be about 10 spaces between each column heading.

Re: Adding Column headings to a matrix report.
Try enclosing the textboxes in a rectangle.

Re: Adding Column headings to a matrix report.
I set the hidden property to true on the original textbox above the rows. I then create a rectangle and dropped four text boxes inside of it. I moved the rectangle into my textbox area and right click and bought the rectangle and four new text boxes to front. In the preview mode it worked fine, but when I deployed it the text boxes disappeared. Any other ideas.

Thanks,
Tim

Re: Adding Column headings to a matrix report.
I am not sure why would the textboxes disappear. I've just tried this with the Company Sales sample report and it worked as expected in both preview and deploy. Try using a table instead of a rectangle. If this doesn't work, please try to repro this with the Company Sales sample report and send the report definition.

Re: Adding Column headings to a matrix report.
I reproduced the problem. I am not sure how to attach the .rdl file to this message, but will send you the xml. If this does not help, could you explain to me how to attach the .rdl. I could send via an email.

Thanks,
Tim

Re: Adding Column headings to a matrix report.
The spTerritorySales sp was missing so I used my own dataset. I tested it with RS 2005 and ti worked fine. I noticed though that your rectangle is not inside the matrix corner by free-floating which may be causing the issue. Try dragging the rectangle inside the matrix corner, so your report definition looks like:
...
<Corner>
<ReportItems>
<Rectangle Name="rectangle1">
<ReportItems>
...
